Guru Nanak College Ground is acricket ground located in theGuru Nanak College premises inVelachery,Chennai.[1][2] It is named after theGuru Nanak, the founder ofSikhism when the college was established in 1971 on the 500th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak.[3][4]
The ground has been used forfirst class cricket since 1978.[2] It has hostedRanji Trophy matches since 1996 forTamil Nadu and aWomen's One Day International in 2002.[5][6] It is one of the venues for hosting warm-up matches for the2016 ICC Women's World Twenty20.[7]
