Synonyms

Guloninae[2][3] is asubfamily of the mammalfamilyMustelidae distributed acrossEurasia and theAmericas. It includesmartens,fishers,tayras, and thewolverine.[2][3] These genera were formerly included within aparaphyletic definition of the mustelid subfamilyMustelinae.[4]

Most gulonine species arearboreal to a degree. Some of thefashion furs come from this subfamily, e.g. sable, marten.[5]
