Guaymaral Airport (ICAO:SKGY) is a high-elevation airport in the north ofBogotá,Colombia, also serving the towns ofCota andChía. The runway is 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) northeast of Bogota'sEl Dorado International Airport.
The airport primarily handlesgeneral aviation,flight school andexecutive flights traffic. It is the base for private and commercial pilot training schools Aeroandes and Aeroclub de Colombia.[3][4] There are hills east and west of the airport. The parallel grass Runway 11R/29L is the longer, but is unmarked.
