Guangfuhui (Chinese:光復會;pinyin:Guāngfùhuì;lit. 'Revive the Light Society'), or theRestoration Society, was ananti-Qing organization established byCai Yuanpei in 1904. Many members were fromZhejiang. Notable members includedQiu Jin,Qu Yingguang,Tao Chengzhang,Woo Tsin-hang,Xu Xilin,Zhang Binglin, andLiu Shipei. The organization was merged intoTongmenghui one year later.
"Guangfuhui" was also the name of an organization established by theRepublic of China after the1945-1950 revolution on the mainland with the purpose of "restoring the light onMainland China". The organization was dissolved in June 1990.
