Gröningen (German pronunciation:[ˈɡʁøːnɪŋən]ⓘ) is a town in theBördedistrict inSaxony-Anhalt,Germany. It lies approx. 40 km south-west ofMagdeburg, and 10 km east ofHalberstadt. It has 3.621 inhabitants (December 2015). Gröningen is part of theVerbandsgemeindeWestliche Börde.
