Grieg is a crater onMercury. It has a diameter of 59 kilometers.[1] Its name was adopted by theInternational Astronomical Union (IAU) in 1985. Grieg is named after the Norwegian composerEdvard Grieg, who lived from 1843 to 1907.[2] The crater was first imaged byMariner 10 in 1974.[3]

Grieg lies within a part of theBorealis Planitia. To the west of it isSor Juana crater, and to the southeast isMonet. To the north isAbedin.
