Greencoat UK Wind is a British investment company investing in UK wind farms based inLondon, England.[1][2] Established in 2012, it is listed on theLondon Stock Exchange and is a constituent of theFTSE 250 Index. The company'sChairman is Tim Ingram.[3] Greencoat Capital LLP acts as investment manager to Greencoat UK Wind plc.[3]
As of April 2024, the company oversees 49 wind farms in the UK, with over half of them under its sole ownership.[4] It holds a stake in theHornsea One Wind Farm, which is located 75 miles into theNorth Sea.[4][5] Greencoat’s combined portfolio generates around 1.5 per cent of UK domestic electricity demand.[4]
