Gravere (Piedmontese andArpitan:Gravere;French:Gravière) is acomune (municipality) in theMetropolitan City of Turin in theItalian regionPiedmont, located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) west ofTurin. Until 1713, it was the first commune in theVal di Susa in theDuchy of Savoy when coming fromFrance, as the upper part of the valley was part of the latter kingdom.
