Gramm was anIcelandicrecord label created by Ásmundur Jónsson andEinar Örn Benediktsson in1981.
Located inReykjavík, Gramm’s first release was a 10-track 7" vinyl titledTilf by Purrkur Pillnikk, apunk group led byEinar Örn.
Besides releasing all Purrkur Pillnikk's records, Gramm also issued works of artists like theEnglish experimental groupPsychic TV,Björk's first bandTappi Tíkarrass andKukl (featuring Björk and Einar Örn). Rock bandÞeyr and punk groups such as Vonbrigði were also associated with Gramm.
In1987, Gramm went bankrupt. Ásmundur and some of the musicians who were playing in Kukl created Smekkleysa, which ultimately becameBad Taste, known worldwide bythe Sugarcubes.
