TheGovernment of the Republic of South Ossetia is the political leadership of thepartially recognised Republic ofSouth Ossetia.

Executive branch

South Ossetia'shead of state is thepresident, the current president isAlan Gagloev. Thehead of government is theprime minister, who is supported by a cabinet of ministers. The current prime minister isKonstantin Dzhussoev.

In August, 2009, then-presidentEduard Kokoity dismissedAslanbek Bulatsev's cabinet. It was said that Bulatsev had long been sick and had repeatedly sought to resign.[citation needed] All ministers kept their posts for some time and work with new PM Vadim Brovtsev,[1] though some were replaced after a while.
