Gottfried Justus Immanuel Curio (born2 September1960 inWest Berlin) is a German politician for theAlternative for Germany (AfD) and since 2017 member of theBundestag. Before that, he was teaching and a researcher as ahabilitatedphysicist at severaluniversities.

Curio is the party'sspokesman forhome affairs.

Life and achievements

Curio was born 1960 inWest-Berlin and studiedphysics andmathematics at theFree University of Berlin.[1]Curio entered the AfD in 2014 and became after the2016 Berlin state election member of the 'Abgeordnetenhaus' (house of delegates), the federal state diet of Berlin.[2]

In 2017 Curio was elected to the Bundestag, the German federal parliament.[3]
