Gorenje Kamence (pronounced[ɡɔˈɾeːnjɛˈkaːmɛntsɛ]) is a settlement north of the town ofNovo Mesto in southeasternSlovenia. The entireCity Municipality of Novo Mesto is part of the traditional region ofLower Carniola and is now included in theSoutheast Slovenia Statistical Region.[2]
The localchurch is dedicated to theHoly Cross and belongs to theParish ofNovo Mesto–Sveti Janez. It is a medieval building that was restyled in theBaroque in the 17th and 18th centuries.[3]
