Gonfaron (French pronunciation:[ɡɔ̃faʁɔ̃]) is acommune in theVardepartment in theProvence-Alpes-Côte d'Azurregion, SoutheasternFrance.
Its detached clock tower is topped with an unusual decorativewrought iron frame housing a bell. Gonfaron is the home ofVillage des tortues [fr], a rescue and breeding centre fortortoises.
It is served by Gonfaron Station on theMarseille–Ventimiglia railway.
Motor racing teamAutomobiles Gonfaronnaises Sportives was based in the town; it competed inFormula One from 1986 to 1991.
