TheGokak Falls is awaterfall located on theGhataprabha River inBelagavi district ofKarnataka,India. The waterfall is 6.5 kilometers away fromGokak town.
After a long, winding course, the Ghataprabha river falls 52 metres (171 ft) over thesandstone cliff amidst a picturesquegorge of a ruggedvalley. At the crest, thehorseshoe-shaped waterfall has a flood breadth of 177 metres (581 ft). It also has asuspension bridge which is an attraction for people visiting Gokak.[citation needed]
