
Goes Station (also known asGoes)[1] is a smallunincorporated community in northernXenia Township,Greene County,Ohio,United States. It sits at the intersection of Snively Road andU.S. Route 68 betweenXenia andYellow Springs.[2]
The community is part of theDayton Metropolitan Statistical Area.
A post office called Goes Station was established in 1872, the name was changed to Goes in 1894, and the post office closed in 1932.[3] Goe was the last name of a local settler.[4] Goes Station was a depot on theSpringfield and Xenia Railroad,[5] which was built to serve as thecompany town of theMiami Powder Company on theLittle Miami River.[6]
