Goaria is aMarwari language of theRajasthani branch ofIndo-Aryan languages, spoken by approximately 25,000 people inSindh Province,Pakistan.[2] The Goaria people are predominantlyHindu and useHindi for religious worship.[2]
Goaria is classified within the Marwari subgroup of the Rajasthani languages.[3] It is one of several Rajasthani-related languages spoken by Hindu communities in Sindh, alongsideDhatki andMarwari.[4]
According toEthnologue, Goaria is a stable language with anEGIDS rating of 6a (Vigorous), meaning it is used as a first language by all generations within the ethnic community.[5] The language is not taught in schools.
