Gluta[3] is a genus of plant in the subfamilyAnacardioideae of the familyAnacardiaceae.[1] Species can be found inMadagascar,India,Indo-China,Malesia through toNew Guinea.[2]

Before the work ofDing Hou,[4] several species were placed in the genusMelanorrhoea.

Toxicity

The plants can causecontact dermatitis, in the same fashion aspoison ivy and poison oak.[5]
