Glebionis is a small genus offlowering plants in the familyAsteraceae, native toEurope and theMediterranean region. The species were formerly treated in the genusChrysanthemum. A 1999 ruling of theInternational Botanical Congress redefined thetype species for that genus as the economically importantflorist's chrysanthemum, thereby excluding the species now included inGlebionis.[2]
Glebionis species have been hybridized with relatedArgyranthemum species to createcultivars ofgarden marguerites.[3]
