Giuseppe Maddaloni (born 10 July 1976) is an Italianjudoka. He was born inNaples.
He won a gold medal in thelightweight (–73 kg) division at the2000 Summer Olympics.[2]
He was trained by his father Gianni Maddaloni, in the district of Scampia, the Neapolitan region of Italy.[3]
In 2014 a movie was made about his life and that of his father, calledit:L'oro di Scampia (the gold of Scampia), in 2022 it was streaming on Netflix.
In 2018 theInternational Judo Federation made a movie about his father and the work he continues to do called Judo for the World - Italy.[4]
