Gillian Pamela Horovitz (néeAdams) (born 7 June 1955 inBromley, Kent) is an English female retiredlong-distance runner. She competed in the late 1970s and early 1980s in the women'smarathon.

Biography

In June 1979, Adams finished second behindJoyce Smith at Sandbach in theBritish national marathon.[1][2][3]

Adams won the 1980 Paris Marathon.[4]

Adams married American screenwriterIsrael Horovitz, in late 1981 and competed under her married name thereafter.[5]

Horovitz representedEngland in the marathon, at the1998 Commonwealth Games inKuala Lumpur, Malaysia.[6][7][8]
