Ghelari (Hungarian:Gyalár) is acommune inHunedoara County,Transylvania,Romania. It is composed of four villages: Ghelari, Govăjdia (Govasdia), Plop, and Ruda.[2]
The commune is located in the central part of the county, 15 km (9.3 mi) southwest ofHunedoara.
Govăjdia village is the site of theGovăjdia Blast Furnace.[3]
