Gervane Zjandric Adonnis Kastaneer (born 9 June 1996) is a professionalfootballer who plays as aforward forMalaysia Super League clubTerengganu. Born in the Netherlands, he plays for theCuraçao national team.
Kastaneer played forEerste Divisie clubFC Dordrecht during the 2012–2013 football season.[2] From 2013 till 2017 he was contracted toADO Den Haag while being loaned out toFC Eindhoven in 2016.
In July 2017, Kastaneer joined2. Bundesliga side1. FC Kaiserslautern signing a three-year contract.[3]
In June 2018, after being released by Kaiserslautern, Kastaneer returned to the Eredivisie signing a two-year contract withNAC Breda.[4]
In June 2019, Kastaneer signed a three-year deal with EnglishChampionship sideCoventry City for an undisclosed fee.[5] On 1 February 2020, Kastaneer joinedScottish Championship sideHeart of Midlothian on loan until the end of the 2020–21 season.[6] On 6 July 2021, it was announced that Kastaneer's contract with the club had been terminated by mutual consent, leaving the club having made 18 appearances in all competitions and having scored one goal.[7]
In July 2021, Kastaneer signed a two-year deal with DutchEredivisie sidePEC Zwolle, with an option for another year.[8] He made his debut on 15 August in a 1–0 home loss toVitesse, starting as aright winger before coming off forChardi Landu in the 65th minute.[9]
On 8 January 2025, Kastaneer signed one and a half-year contract withLiga 1 Indonesia clubPersib Bandung.[10] On 6 June 2025, Kastaneer officially left Persib Bandung.[11]
On 27 January 2026, Kastaneer was announced as the latest signing for theMalaysia Super League clubTerengganu.[12]
Kastaneer was born in the Netherlands and is of Curaçaoan descent.[13] Originally a youth international for the Netherlands, he switched and debuted for theCuraçao national team in a 5–0CONCACAF Nations League win over theUS Virgin Islands on 12 October 2018.[14]
Kastaneer scored his first international hat-trick in a 5–0 win overSaint Lucia during the2024–25 CONCACAF Nations League B.
