Germain Chevarie (born 10 September 1952) is aCanadian politician, who was elected to theNational Assembly of Quebec for the riding ofÎles-de-la-Madeleine in the2008 provincial election. He was defeated in the2012 election byJeannine Richard of theParti Québécois, but defeated Richard again in the2014 election. He is a member of theQuebec Liberal Party.
Prior to his election to the assembly, Chevarie was the manager of health services for theMagdalen Islands and works at the region's Health and Social Services centres and theCLSC.[1] He obtained abachelor's degree in social sciences from theUniversity of Moncton and a second cycle (master's) degree atLaval University in organizational management and development. He also obtained amaster's degree inpublic administration at theENAP inMontreal.
