The district includes parts ofDeKalb andGwinnett counties, covering parts ofCenterville,Lithonia,Mountain Park,Snellville,Stone Mountain,Stonecrest, andTucker.

The current senator isRandal Mangham, aDemocrat from Stone Mountain first elected in2024 after previously serving in theGeorgia House of Representatives.[2]
