Georges Zipélius (1808–1890) was a French illustrator who designedwallpaper. His work is preserved in the collection of theCooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum and theDeutsches Tapetenmuseum.[1][2] The wallpaperEl Dorado, in the collection of the Cooper-Hewitt, was co-designed by Zipélius withEugène Ehrmann andJoseph Fuchs; it took them two years to design it; it is still in print today.[3] Zipélius was fromMulhouse and attended theL'Ecole des Beaux Arts.[4]
