Georges Spénale (French pronunciation:[ʒɔʁʒspenal]; 29 November 1913,Carcassonne – 20 August 1983 atPitié-Salpêtrière Hospital,Paris[1]) was a French official and politician. He was the president of theEuropean Parliament from 11 March 1975 to 1977.[2][3] He was also a member of the National Assembly forTarn from 1962 to 1977,[4] and a Senator for Tarn from 1977 to 1983.[5]
