TheGenesis Championship is a men's professionalgolf tournament inSouth Korea. The inaugural event was held at theJack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea from 21 to 24 September 2017. Prize money wasKRW1,500,000,000, the largest for anyKorean Tour event. The winner received KRW300,000,000 and an automatic entry to theCJ Cup andGenesis Open on thePGA Tour.[1] The 2018 event was held in May while in 2019 and 2020 it was held in October.

The tournament is sponsored byGenesis Motors, the luxury vehicle division ofHyundai Motor Group.

In 2024, the tournament joined theEuropean Tour schedule, becoming a co-sanctioned event.[2]
