Genêts (French pronunciation:[ʒənɛ]) is acommune in thedepartment ofManche, in northwestern France. It was the port of theoppidum Ingena (nowAvranches), the main settlement of theAbrincatui.[3]

TheManoir de Brion, an ancientBenedictinepriory of theabbey ofMont Saint-Michel is located nearby. The tidal island ofTombelaine, 3.5 km (2.2 mi) offshore, is in the commune.
