Game One was a French television channel owned byParamount Networks EMEAA.[1][2] The channel showed several programs based on video games. It also aired Japanese anime on a regular basis.[citation needed]
In Germany between 2006 and 2014, a television show aboutvideo games with the same name aired onMTV Germany.[3][4] After the show was cancelled, the guys from Game One launched an online TV channel with the name Rocket Beans TV onTwitch andYouTube.[5]
Since 2016, they moderate the web showGame Two with the support ofFUNK, an online service of the German television channelsDas Erste andZDF.[6]
On 8 October 2025, a report revealed the closure of the channel from late November, as part of a plan fromParamount Skydance Corporation that would affect more than 50% of its television workforce inFrance. The channel was still profitable, with net gains of €2 million per year. Its staff was surprised by the decision.[7]
However, the channel, along with J-One, could return as early as March 2026 with a new shareholder, and Paramount Network France is reportedly currently in negotiations to sell the channels.
