Galguduud (Somali:Galgaduud,Arabic:جلجدود,Italian:Galgudud orGhelgudud) is an administrative region (gobol) ofGalmudug state in centralSomalia.[4] Its administrative capital isDusmareb. The largest town in the region isEl Buur, which lies at the centre of the region.

Galguduud is bordered byEthiopia; the Somali regions of [[Mudug],Hiran, and [Middle Shebelle]] (Shabeellaha Dhexe); and theIndian Ocean.The largestclan in this region is theHawiye, specially theMurusade subclan, as well as theHabargidir, The region of Galgaduud and southernMudug formed theGalmudug State by 2016, which considers itself an autonomous state within the largerFederal Republic of Somalia, as defined by theProvisional Constitution of the Federal Republic of Somalia.[5]

Galguduud is bordered bySomali galbeed or theFeerfeer-Dharkayn Geenyo Line to the west, the Somali region ofMudug to the north;Hiran andMiddle Shebelle (Shabeellaha Dhexe) to the south, and theIndian Ocean to the east.
