Gabriel Vinicius Menino (born 29 September 2000), known asGabriel Menino, is a Brazilian professionalfootballer, who plays forAtlético Mineiro.[1] Primarily amidfielder, he can also play as aright-back.
Born inMorungaba,São Paulo, Menino joined thePalmeiras youth setup in 2017 fromGuarani. In his first year at the club, he was a member of theCopa do Brasil Sub-17 winning team.[2]
On 25 November 2019, Menino was promoted to the first team ahead of the2020 season.[3] He made his debut on 22 January 2020, in a 4–0 win overItuano in theCampeonato Paulista, playing the full 90 minutes.[4][5] He scored for the first time on 17 September 2020, in a 2–1 win overBolívar in theCopa Libertadores.[6] On 6 January 2024, Menino extended his contract with Palmeiras until 31 December 2027.[7]
On 1 January 2025, Menino joinedAtlético Mineiro on a four-year deal.[8]
Menino featured forBrazil at the2019 South American U-20 Championship. On 18 September 2020, he received his first call up to thefull side.[9]
On 17 June 2021, Menino was named in theBrazil squad for the2020 Summer Olympics.[10]
