Glycogen synthase kinase 3-alphaEC2.7.1.37 is a multifunctional protein serinekinase, homologous toDrosophila 'shaggy' (zeste-white3) and implicated in the control of several regulatory proteins includingglycogen synthase and varioustranscription factors (e.g.,JUN). It also plays a role in theWNT andphosphoinositide 3-kinase (especiallyPIK3CG) signaling pathways.^[6][7]
