TheGM E-Turbo engine is a gasoline-fueled engine developed by General Motors as part of the company’s next-generation turbocharged engine family. The engine features astart-stop system,gasoline direct injection, an electricwater pump and an electric turbochargerwastegate to optimizefuel efficiency.

The engine is also known as the Eighth GenerationEcotec engine. GM introduced the engine in the 2019 Korean-marketChevrolet Malibu.[2][3]

LBP engines in 2025 Buick Envista, 2025 Buick Encore GX, 2025 Chevy Trax, and 2025 Chevy Trailblazer offer E85 Flex Fuel capability.
