Fumi Nikaidō (二階堂 ふみ,Nikaidō Fumi; born 21 September 1994) is a Japanese actress.
Nikaidō starred inKoji Yakusho's filmToad's Oil.[1] She andShota Sometani received theMarcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor and Actress Award for their work inShion Sono'sHimizu at the68th Venice International Film Festival in 2011.[2] In 2014, she was introduced inVariety as an "Int'l Star You Should Know"[3] andNew York Asian Film Festival named her as an "International Rising Star".[4]
Nikaidō was born inNaha, Okinawa. In August 2025, she announced her marriage to comedianKazlaser.[5]
In 2015, after getting a pet ferret, she became interested in animal welfare and environmental protection. In 2018, she became apescatarian.[6] In 2023, she contributed to sustainable fashion by launching a coat made fromkapok (a plant-based material), which uses no animal-derived materials.[7]
