"From This Moment On" is a 1950popular song written byCole Porter, which has since become ajazz standard. It was originally written for the 1950 musicalOut of This World, but directorGeorge Abbott dropped it from the musical before itsBroadway premiere, possibly due to lackluster singing by cast memberWilliam Eythe.[1] It was then included inMGM's 1953 filmKiss Me Kate (an adaptation of Porter's stage musicalKiss Me, Kate[2]) in which it was sung byAnn Miller,Tommy Rall,Bob Fosse andBobby Van. In the 1999 revival ofKiss Me, Kate it was performed as a duet between Harrison Howell and Lilli Vanessi.
