Mexican pinto bean dish

Frijoles charros (cowboy beans) is a traditionalMexican dish. It is named after the traditional Mexican cowboy horsemen, orcharros. The dish is characterized bypinto beans stewed withonion,garlic, andbacon. Other common ingredients includechili peppers,tomatoes,cilantro,ham,sausage,pork andchorizo. It is served warm, and is usually of a soupy consistency.[1][2]
