Austrian high school director and entomologist
Friedrich Georg Hendel (14 December 1874 inVienna – 26 June 1936 inBaden bei Wien) was anAustrian high school director andentomologist mainly interested inDiptera. He described very many newspecies and made important contributions to the highertaxonomy of the Diptera.
His collection is in theVienna Natural History Museum.
