Freja Beha Erichsen (born 18 October 1987), also known asFreja Beha, is aDanishmodel. Dubbed as the "Queen of Cool",[3][4][5] she is known for herandrogynous look[4][6] and for being one of the muses of the lateKarl Lagerfeld.[7][8]
Erichsen was born inRoskilde, Denmark. She was educated at Frederiksberg Gymnasium high school.
Discovered on the streets of her native Denmark by a modeling agent passing by,[9] Erichsen made her debut as a model in 2005 at the fall Paris and Milan shows ofPrada,Louis Vuitton andMiu Miu (which she opened). She continues to walk the runways of New York, Paris, Milan and also London, both in theReady-to-wear andHaute Couture seasons. She has appeared in editorials for American,French,Italian, Australian, German,British,Chinese, Japanese, Korean, andRussian editions ofVogue,Interview,W, American and RussianHarper's Bazaar, French and KoreanNuméro,i-D,V andPurple. She has also appeared on the cover of Italian, French, and BritishVogue, KoreanNuméro,i-D,V, andW.[10] In 2008, casting agent James Scully said of Erichsen:

Erichsen is featured in the 2011 edition of thePirelli Calendar, photographed by Karl Lagerfeld.[15] Erichsen is part of history, in what marks the magazine's first multi-cover in the publication's 95-years, landing one of the three MayVogue UK covers in celebration of the most anticipated wedding of the year - theRoyal wedding.[16]
In 2020, Erichsen appeared in the Prada Fall-Winter campaign.[17]
In 2022, she had a cameo appearance as Bente in the Swedish Netflix mini seriesClark.[18]
Erichsen enjoys listening to the music ofPJ Harvey, the Danish group Kira and the Kindred Spirits,[19]Janis Joplin andJeff Buckley.[20] She currently resides in New York City.[21] Erichsen is alesbian.[22]
