Frederik Schandorff (born 26 December 1996 inDjursland) is aDanish racing driver, who is currently competing in the2026 IMSA SportsCar Championship withInception Racing. He is a two-timeGT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup class champion, having also won theLamborghini Super Trofeo World Final in 2019 andInternational GT Open in 2021.


Schandorff began racing single-seaters in 2013, competing in Formula Ford Denmark.[1] After winning the Formula Ford Denmark title the following year,[2] Schandorff switched to theDanish Thundersport Championship in 2015, scoring two podiums en route to a 10th-place points finish.[3] Two more seasons in the series then ensued,[4][5] finishing fifth in points in both seasons, in which he scored his maiden series win atJyllands-Ringen in 2016 as he became the series' youngest race winner.[6] Continuing in theDanish Thundersport Championship for 2018, Schandorff switched to LM Racing for his fourth season in the series, scoring seven podiums to end the year third in points.[7]
Stepping up to GT3 competition for 2019, Schandorff joinedVincenzo Sospiri Racing for a dual campaign in theBlancpain GT World Challenge Asia and theInternational GT Open.[8] In the former, Schandorff scored his only class win of the season atBuriram and stood on the podium in all but four races as he ended the year third in the GT3 Pro-Am standings.[9] In the latter, Schandorff took four wins and four further podiums to secure the Pro-Am title at the finale inMonza.[10] During 2019, Schandorff also won the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East Pro title forTarget Racing,[11] as well as the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Final Pro title for the same team.[12]
The following year, Schandorff joined Barwell Motorsport for his rookie season in theGT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup,[13] as well as racing in theItalian GT Endurance Championship forVincenzo Sospiri Racing.[14] In the former, Schandorff scored class wins atImola andLe Castellet, as well as finishing second at theNürburgring to clinch the Silver Cup title at season's end.[15] In the latter, Schandorff finished second atVallelunga and third atMonza en route to a sixth-place points finish.[16] Remaining withVincenzo Sospiri Racing for 2021, Schandorff returned toInternational GT Open, racing in the Pro class alongsideMichele Beretta.[17] Starting off the season with a win atLe Castellet andSpa,[18] before taking further wins at theHungaroring andRed Bull Ring,[19] and six more podiums to secure the Pro title at the end of the year.[20][21] During 2021, Schandorff also made his debut in the GTD class of theIMSA SportsCar Championship, racing at thePetit Le Mans for Inception Racing withOptimum Motorsport.[22]
In 2022, Schandorff joinedKessel Racing to race in the LMGTE class of theEuropean Le Mans Series, as well as theGT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup for Inception Racing withOptimum Motorsport.[23] In the former, Schandorff scored his only win of the season atSpa and took two more podiums to end the year runner-up in the LMGTE standings.[24] In GTWC, Schandorff scored class wins atLe Castellet and theHockenheimring to secure the Gold Cup title at the season finale inBarcelona.[25][26] During 2022, Schandorff also raced at the24 Hours of Le Mans forKessel Racing in LMGTE Am,[27] as well as making select starts in theIMSA SportsCar Championship's GTD class for Inception Racing.[28][29] After starting off the 2023 season by racing inAsian Le Mans Series forCarGuy Racing,[30] Schandorff returned toInception Racing for his first full-time season in the GTD class of theIMSA SportsCar Championship.[31] Racing alongsideBrendan Iribe, the pair finished third at the24 Hours of Daytona,[32] before scoring second-place finishes atMosport andRoad America en route to a sixth-place finish in the GTD standings.[33]
The following year, Schandorff continued in theIMSA SportsCar Championship withInception Racing,[34] scoring podiums atMosport andRoad America,[35][36] before the team switched to a Ferrari 296 for the final two rounds, as he ended the year ninth in points.[37] During 2024, Schandorff also raced at the24 Hours of Le Mans for the same team,[38] as well as winning theGulf 12 Hours on track forOptimum Motorsport, but was relegated to second after being given two 30-second penalties for speeding in the pit lane.[39] Remaining withInception Racing for 2025,[40] Schandorff scored a lone win atIndianapolis and a second-place finish atWatkins Glen to end the year 10th in GTD.[41] During 2025, Schandorff also raced in select rounds ofLamborghini Super Trofeo Europe for Auto Sport Racing Service,[42] as well as the24 Hours of Spa for Garage 59.[43] Schandorff remained withInception Racing for his fourth full-time season in the GTD class of theIMSA SportsCar Championship the following year,[44] as well as joiningAF Corse-run RaceGroup to race inGT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup.[45]
