Freddie Crittenden III (born 3 August 1994) is an American athlete who specializes in the110 metres hurdles. He won the silver medal in the110 meters hurdles at the2019 Pan American Games.[2]

Hurdling career

Crittenden attendedUtica High School in Shelby Township, Michigan.[3] He ran forSyracuse University. At the end of this time at Syracuse he was a two-time First Team All-American and two-time Second Team All-American, and was named to the All-ACC team six times.[4]

Crittenden trains inPhoenix, Arizona. He is unsponsored and works a full-time job with an after-school care nonprofit.[5][6] He received a $10,000 donation for training, healthcare, and travel from Boomerang Capital Partners through USATF's "Adopt an Athlete" program.[7] In July 2024, he signed a contract withAdidas.[8]

Crittenden took 2nd at the 2024 US Olympic trials in the 110m hurdles to earn his first spot on an Olympic team, heading to Paris.[9]

In December 2024, it was announced that he had signed up for the inaugural season of theMichael Johnson-foundedGrand Slam Track.[10]

Personal life

Crittenden has seven siblings and is married to Tor Hawley Crittenden. He and his wife have a daughter who was born in July 2024.[11][5][12]
