Fredell Lamont Anderson (born October 30, 1954) is an American former professionalfootball player who was adefensive lineman in theNational Football League (NFL) for thePittsburgh Steelers from 1978 to 1979 andSeattle Seahawks from 1980 to 1982.[1] He playedcollege football for theOregon State Beavers andPrairie View A&M Panthers.
Anderson was born inToppenish, Washington in 1954 and attendedToppenish High School.[2]
He playedcollege football forOregon State University andPrairie View A&M University. He was then drafted by thePittsburgh Steelers. He stayed there for the1980 season before being released, and wonSuper Bowl XIII against theDallas Cowboys andSuper Bowl XIV against theLos Angeles Rams. He was later picked up by theSeattle Seahawks in 1980, where he stayed for three seasons.[3]
