Franz Hermann Reinhold von Frank (May 2, 1827 – February 7, 1894) was a Germantheologian born inAltenburg. He was an important figure in the "Erlangen School" of the GermanNeo-Lutheranism movement, and a specialist in theologicaldogmatics.
In 1850 he received his PhD at theUniversity of Leipzig, where he was a disciple ofGottlieb Christoph von Harless. Afterwards, he worked as a school subrector inRatzeburg, and in 1853 began teaching classes at theGymnasium inAltenburg. In 1857 he was appointed professor ofchurch history andsystematic theology at theUniversity of Erlangen. He died inErlangen.
