Prior to traveling toSouth Africa forMiss World 1992, she participated inReina Sudamericana 1992, held inSanta Cruz,Bolivia, on November 8, where she becameVenezuela's first ever titleholder.[1]
As the official representative of hercountry to theMiss World 1992 pageant held inSun City,South Africa on December 12, 1992, she becameMiss World Americas and 2nd runner-up to eventual winnerJulia Kourotchkina ofRussia.[2]
