Franchise: The Golden Arches in Black America is a book byMarcia Chatelain.[1][2] Chatelain was awarded the 2021Pulitzer Prize for History[3] and the 2022James Beard Award for Writing[4] for this book. She was the first black woman to win the latter award.[4]
