Frédéric Da Rocha (born 16 September 1974) is a French former professionalfootballer who played as amidfielder.[1][3]
From 1996 to 2009 he was a key player forNantes,[1] winning theCoupe de France in1998–99 and1999–2000, the national championship in2000–01 and theTrophée des Champions in1999 and2001.[4][5] He was anattacking midfielder andwinger who was renowned for his technique. In his time with Nantes, Da Rocha made over 400 appearances for the club.[6]
In the summer of 2009, he joined newly promotedLigue 1 sideBoulogne.[3] After one season with Boulogne, Da Rocha signed forChampionnat de France Amateur clubCarquefou.[7] He finished his playing career at the end of the 2010–11 season.[8]
Born in France, Da Rocha is of Portuguese descent.[9] Frédéric's younger brother,Bruno Da Rocha, was also a professional footballer.[10]
