Fourqueux (French pronunciation:[fuʁkø]) is a formercommune in theYvelinesdepartment in theÎle-de-France in north-centralFrance. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the communeSaint-Germain-en-Laye.[2] It is a small suburb 20 km west of Paris.

It is known for having a diverse community, due to theLycée International being located in the neighboring town ofSaint-Germain-en-Laye. Fourqueux has received prizes for its flowers on the departmental and regional level every year since 2005.[3]

Fourqueux's population as of 2013 was 4,035 people composing 1,652 households. The average yearly income per household in 2009 was 72,741 euros, over twice the average of the Yvelines department as a whole.[4]
