"Fotoromanza" is a song composed byGianna Nannini,Conny Plank and Raffaella Riva (a member of the pop groupGruppo Italiano) and performed by Gianna Nannini.[1] The single peaked at first place for four consecutive weeks in September 1984 on the Italian hit parade.[1][2] It won the 1984 edition ofFestivalbar and also won "Vota la Voce", a musical event organized by the magazineTV Sorrisi e Canzoni.[1] The music video of the song was directed by theAcademy Award winnerMichelangelo Antonioni.[1][3]

The song was later covered by several artists, includingRicchi e Poveri andIva Zanicchi, and sampled by rapperMarracash for his song "Fotoromanzo". It was included in the soundtrack of theGianni Amelio's drama filmThe Stolen Children.[4]
