ForgetMeNot (Xabi) is asuperhero appearing inAmerican comic books published byMarvel Comics. He first appeared inX-Men: Legacy #300 (March 2014), and was created byMike Carey,Simon Spurrier andChristos Gage.
In March 2014, ForgetMeNot debuted inX-Men: Legacy #300 as the member ofX-Men. He was created by writersMike Carey,Simon Spurrier andChristos Gage. Spurrier also used the character duringX-Force (vol. 4) andLegion of X.[1][2]
ForgetMeNot had been member ofX-Men before the events ofX-Men: Legacy but due to his powers, he went unnoticed by his teammates.Professor X had placed a psychic reminder for ForgetMeNot's existence once an hour. ForgetMeNot battled againstBrood[3] and he was severely depressed by the death of Professor X inAvengers vs. X-Men, as he had lost his connection with others. He soughtMimic andOmega to remove his powers but their influences instead convinced him to retain his powers.[4]
ForgetMeNot also joinedX-Force briefly. DuringKrakoan Age, he relocated toKrakoa and partnered up withJuggernaut during their stint inNightcrawler's Legionaries.[5][6]Forge had developed devices that would enable the X-Men and his teammates to remember ForgetMeNot.[1] WhenNimrod took control over Krakoa by usingWarlock, The Legionaries had no choice but to kill Warlock. However, the Legionaries failed to do it because of Nimrod's defenses. Due to the nature of his powers, ForgetMeNot was able to get close enough to land the killing blow. The resulting explosion led to his and Warlock's death.[7]
ForgetMeNot was resurrected and joinedX-Factor during "From the Ashes".[8]
ForgetMeNot has themutant power of being forgotten (except to those who have either a psychic reminder or devices created byForge). When ForgetMeNot isn't within the view of an individual, his existence and any memories of him completely disappear from their mind. His power also interferes with individuals' aim andtelemetry of mechanical devices.[1][4]
