Thefootball tournament at the2025 SEA Games will be held from 3 to 18 December inThailand. The men's matches will held inBangkok,Chiang Mai andSongkhla city, while the women's matches will held inChonburi.Associations affiliated with theASEAN Football Federation (AFF) might send teams to participate in the tournament. There were no age restrictions on women's teams. For men's teams, the age limit were under-22 (born on or after 1 January 2003) with no overage players being allowed like the2023 tournament.

The draw was held on 19 October 2025.

A total of 5 venues in Thailand will be used to host the football matches.Songkhla andChiang Mai (the1995 main venue) will host the men's group stage,Bangkok (the first time inRajamangala Stadium, which before hosted inSupachalasai Stadium) will host the group A and knockout stages, whileChonburi will host the women's tournament. Notably, no matches will be played inNakhon Ratchasima (venue of2007), due to the city will host thePara Games the next year.
