Fluoride phosphate

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Class of chemical compounds

Thefluoride phosphates orphosphate fluorides are inorganic double salts that contain bothfluoride andphosphate anions. In mineralogy,Hey's Chemical Index of Minerals groups these as 22.1. TheNickel-Strunz grouping is 8.BN.

Related mixed anion compounds are thechloride phosphates, thefluoride arsenates andfluoride vanadates.

They are distinct from thefluorophosphates:monofluorophosphate, difluorophosphate andhexafluorophosphate which have fluorine bonds to the phosphorus.
